What are the advantages and disadvantages of urban rail transit?

- Jun 15, 2018-

Urban rail transit generally includes metro, light rail, tram, maglev and so on. The exclusive use of subway rights is characterized by high transport capacity, high degree of automation, low energy consumption per unit, and high cost. The light rail train has the advantages of automatic control, comfortable riding, large power, fast speed and low noise, and its construction standard and investment are lower than that of the subway. The monorail train is operated with full viaduct. It has no ground road, has the advantages of small vibration, low noise, high climbing ability, small turning radius, and less investment, but the technology is complex and the transport volume is not the advantage. Trolley buses are subject to many disturbances and slow speed. Magnetic levitation speed is fast, but the volume is relatively small, and the cost is high.
